the process The face of the concrete is ground to expose the pores so that the concrete accepts the stain/dye to its fullest ability. A stain/dye is applied that contains a concrete densifier. The densifier densifies the concrete and locks the stain in so that it does not get walked off. The hardener closes the pours of the concrete to help prevent stains. The hardener also makes the floor up to 400 % more abrasion resistant and adds to its durability. NO topical coatings are used in anyway! This would leave a matte finish. If a high shine is desired a penetrating product is applied that fills the pits and inconsistencies so that light can reflect back in an organized manner creating a shine. As a result of the product being a penetrant and not a topical application traffic patterns or wearing of the surface will occur. |
